India skipper MS Dhoni told reporters "We are not thinking about the ranking because you don't really want to be under pressure, you just want to play your natural game," he said. "We know if we keep winning, the ratings will take care of themselves."

For India Murali Vijay will open the inning with Sehwag as Gambhir will miss the third test due to personal commitment.

For Sri Lanka Ajantha Mendis will be rested Nuwan Kulasekara will join the squad as he is fully fit.
